I'm Monica Piskor, a Czech-American, LGBTQIA+ actor (she/they), currently based in Dallas.I caught the acting bug early in life -- acting like Miss Frizzle any chance I could get! Growing up in a small rural Texas town, my acting experiences were limited to high school theater. So when the time to choose a major in university arrived, I chose to pursue science over theater. My love of theater and acting took a backseat as a simple lover of the arts for years while I earned my bachelors degree in biomedical science followed by a teaching certificate for science. But the knocking from my soul persisted...I still craved to create art.In January of 2022, I decided to finally answer the call and took my first voice over class. From there I took any acting classes I could find -- acting, voice acting, commercials, film, theatre, improv -- hungry for a way to make art and reach people the way acting reached me.Now you can find me in the booth voicing your favorite loving moms, tough older sisters, sweet little babies, and rambunctious young boys in anime, video games, indie projects, and audiodramas. You can also find me on stage in the DFW area!Whenever I'm not rehearsing or recording, you'll find me hanging with my sweet pitbull Lily, testing genetics on the sims, or sipping on tea reading a good book.
